SMS Global Support

Recently SMS Global suffered some technical issues which resulted in the sending of SMS reminders from myPractice to be unavailable for a few hours.  myPractice does not provide the SMS sending service but simply provides the ability to link with SMS Global so SMS Reminders can be sent.  SMS Global have advised us that the best way for you to receive any notifications in regards to outages, upgrades or planned maintenance is for you to send an email to support@smsglobal.com and register yourself on their mailing list.

Josh Joins myPractice

The myPractice family is expanding - We'd like to welcome Josh who will be helping Mel with customer questions and support issues.  Josh will have the 'L plates' on for the next couple of weeks while we fill his head with everything about myPractice. Please give him a hearty welcome should you meet him on the phone or online.

myPractice Tips and Tricks

Tip 1.  Go to Date - Navigate quickly and easily to a new date within the appointment book by clicking on the appointment book and then pressing Ctrl + G.  This will display the "Go to Date" screen, select the date to be taken to that date within the appointment book.

Tip 2.  Snippets - Snippets are a new feature within Version 3 of myPractice.  Snippets are like Auto Text within MS Word and allow you to enter sentences or blocks of text for later use throughout the program.  To Enter a New Snippet, go to System > Data Maintenance > Snippets and give your Snippet a name and type in the text you wish to save.

To use the Snippet within either the Client Details/Consultation notes area or within Letters, right click in the field, select Snippet and select the "Keyword" for your Snippet to insert the saved body of text.

That's all from us, stay tuned for our next newsletter.
